What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent make-up, also called Micropigmentation, is the application of permanent tattoo dye into the dermis (second layer of the skin) to simulate make-up, such as eye liner, eyebrows and lip colour.

It is also used to disguise scars, uneven pigmentation, and to restore or enhance areolae, particularly after breast surgery.

Other frequent clients are:

  • Athletes who perform in the water, or perspire excessively
  • Women who are allergic to conventional make-up ingredients
  • Women who are unable to apply their own make-up due to shaking, loss of hands or loss of vision
  • Men and women with sparse hair growth

The aesthetic considerations are collaborative throughout the entire process and requires a number of visits to complete, with ample opportunity for feedback.
