Avalon's signature body treatment is a must for those who appreciate a truly relaxing experience! A combination of Hot Stone Massage and Raindrop Therapy. This is a very powerful and amazing treatment. A combination of carefully selected pure organic oils are dispersed and layered along the spine like gentle falling rain drops.  This treatment stimulates the nervous system throughout the entire body. Hot stones are applied to penetrate a deep heat giving the feeling of softening the muscles and melting tension away. Hot compresses and heat are also incorporated into the treatment to aid in detoxification. This treatments helps bring structural alignment and electrical balance. The oils continue to work 5 to 7 days after the treatment.

HOT STONE MASSAGE

A stone massage uses smooth, flat, stones that are submersed in hot water.  Once heated, these stones are intentionally placed on the body to  generate a deep penetrating heat that melts away tension and stimulates circulation.  These heated stones can be placed in the palm of the therapis'ts hands, along with hot oils,  to complement regular massage therapy techniques.

This  unique experience is a therapuetic sensation and should be experienced at least once.

DRY BRUSHING 

Dry brushing is the brushing of the skin.  This technique stimulates the lymphatic system to more effectively remove toxins, delay skin aging due to exfoliation, and stimulates sweat and oil glands to keep the skin moist.   Over time consistent treatments of dry brushing may also enhance the reduction of cellulite. Dry brushing removes the build-up of dead skin and stimulates blood flow. This technique leaves your skin baby smooth and soft to the touch. Treatment starts with dry brushing of the body, followed by an essential oil steam, and then a full body relaxation massage to replenish the oils in the skin.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a holistic method which involves massage of the reflex points found on the feet  which correspond to all the organs, glands and body parts.  The benefits of reflexology massage is to relieve pain and stiffness, help prevent headaches and stress, boost blood circulation, and many other benefits.

Reflexology follows the principle that a vital energy, or life force, circulates throughout the body and into every cell and tissue. If the energy pathways become blocked or stagnated, the part of the body relating to the blockage is affected.

The techniques used in reflexology are designed to dissipate energy blocks, stimulate the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems, and release toxins. Reflexology encourages and supports the your body’s self-healing capabilities.  A choice of either Gehwol's footcream blue or red  is offered depending on the condition of your feet.  Gehwol’s For Fusskraft Blue is for burning, tired feet,  while Fusskraft Red stimulates circulation and gives a  pleasant warmth.
